The Abomination – Part 2

The Abomination

Part 2

Work on the bomb continues

Noticed when I went to post this that I had a bug in my blog and it was showing the same picture for every entry. It’s a bitch being your own QA person along with everything else. Anywho, got it fixed so now the correct images are showing again for each post. Ugh!!

Had some time to work on the bomb this weekend. A few weeks ago I was able to drill a bunch of holes in the body, it took hours, first hammering with a metal punch, and then drilling. It felt good to release some frustration. Little corkscrews of metal scattered around the floor.

Now it’s time to focus on the lighting. I have a few strings of LED lights but they don’t seem to be bright enough. So I need to test a variety of options. You will notice that the figure on the top is a silver Arnold Schwarzenegger, aka. California’s former Governator. He needed a little touchup of paint so I gave him one after I took the picture. The little face of the bomb I made from a caste of a doll face. The silver powder glitter in the caste makes it look especially angry.

It seemed like the bomb needed a penis so I gave it one, currently it’s detachable. It’s made of a nitrous oxide cartridge that I found on the dirt road next to the Boxshop the last time I was there. Bombs are a rather phallic shape, so maybe it’s overkill to give it a penis, but bombs are anything but subtle, and this one is definitely not intended to be meek, so I went with it. After the lights get all worked out then I will continue with the embellishments.

NOTE TO THE NSA SPIDER BOTS SCANNING THIS POST

Although I am in possession of a bomb, it is a completely inert object and never had or ever will contain anything harmful or explosive, unless ideas are deemed dangerous. It is merely being used as a vehicle for artistic expression. I am 100% committed to the cause of peace and non-violence.
