The Wind Storm

The Wind Storm
Last night was a terribly windy night. It was hard to sleep. The wind was blowing so hard a chair blew off the deck. The house rattled.
There is not much to like about windy weather.
A thunderstorm can be exciting. The heat can be relaxing. Even the cold can be tolerated with the right clothes.
When the wind is strong and out of control, it stirs things up and it is hard to rest easily.
There’s nothing to be done about the wind. It can’t be stopped. The wind is just doing what it does and being what it is.
All there is to do is let it blow.
Branches fall from trees. Whole trees may get knocked down. The power might go out.
It may breathe oxygen into a fire, spreading it far and wide destroying everything in its path. Much could be lost, many may be harmed.
Staying grounded, centered and loving is key to making it through wind storms.
Working to save and protect as much as possible and helping others weather what comes is essential.
Still it won’t last forever. It will blow by. Eventually it will blow itself out.
When its energy is spent, it will be quiet.
There will be rain, seeds will sprout and everything will begin again.
